tkDDT Fun Example: The Simpsons

Homer Calls Japan ... Really?

Homer Calls Japan
Homer Calls Japan

In one of our favourite Simpsons Episode (Title: "In Marge We Trust", Prodction Code: 4F18, Original Airdate: (FOX) April 27th, 1997), Homer calls Hokkaido, Japan from the public library. He punches 19 digits into the telephone key pad, but what are they?

Japan - Not Likely!

Hokkaido Japan? Not likely
965715361 8 965715361

Now, if you hook up your VCR to your PC and record the touch tones to a .wav file, you can load that into tkDDT which will then tell you the number homer dialed: 965715361 8 965715361.

Now, what is the signifficance of 9657153618965715361? We have no ides, but this is certainly not how you would call a number in Japan, collect, direct, or otherwise.
